Sr. Maintenance Technician (Eden Prairie, MN)We are currently hiring a First Shift Maintenance Technician. This position is a Contract to Hire role. We encourage you to apply.SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager or designate; repair and maintain machinery, mechanical equipment, and facilities. This position also supports manufacturing engineering by completing a limited amount of tooling and new machine assembly.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Assist with planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance projects. Ensure equipment PM's are tracked and completed per schedule. Leads and trains maintenance staff.Plan and implement facilities improvement projects, and coordinates internal resources with outside vendors when appropriate.Effectively maintain and troubleshoot new and existing plant equipment while working with pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC's, and other electrical components.Set up, maintain and repair equipment to ensure safe operation.Perform plumbing, HVAC and carpentry work as needed.Specify repair parts and replace as needed.Maintain spare parts inventory.Set-up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools and operate welding equipment to make and repair parts, tooling and equipment.Work with manufacturing engineers in the development and construction of new jigs, fixtures, or automation equipment to increase throughput and reduce operating expenses through inventory or waste reduction.Qualifications:5-10 years' experience minimum in a manufacturing/maintenance technician environment.Extensive experience troubleshooting PLC based programs including Allen Bradley.Very good performing preventative and overhaul maintenance (Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic& Pneumatic).Thoroughly experienced in the troubleshooting: evaluation, rebuild and repair of hydraulic pumps, motors, drives, sprockets, chains, shafts, transformers, fuses, control bores, sensors, switches, gear boxes, cabinets, bushings, gear boxes, cylinder; valves etc.Strong profile troubleshooting, repairing /maintenance and overhaul of the following equipment: injection Mold Machines, Grinding Machines, Brake Presses, Punch Presses, Robotic Welders, Robotic Material Handlers, Power Coating Booths, Industrial Furnaces, CNC Mills/Lathes, Heavy Equipment/Materi31 Handlers including Cranes and Forklifts.Industry experience nice to have: Foundry, Agriculture, Automotive, Injection Mold, Heavy Equipment.Looking for candidates that have repair experience with these machines: Presses, Manual + auto element benders, IR conveyor ovens, Auto brazers, Induction brazers, Auto wire cutters / strippers, Terminalizes, Tape wrappers, Continuity testers, Hypot testers, Leak testers, Vibra feeder bowls, Intelligent (plc) assembly stations / smart pick bins, Vision systems, Auto fluid dispensers, Parts / vibra washers, Laser markers, Injection molding machines, Ultrasonic welders & Twist tiersAbout our Client:100-year history as a global OEM and aftermarket provider of custom engineered thermal and electrical solutions.
