GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Outpatient Mental HealthTherapist/Substance Abuse Counselor provides individual, couples, group and family therapy in an outpatient setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
?? Assess, diagnose and treat children, teens, adults and families with mental health and/or substance abuse problems.
?? Assess treatment needs
?? Develop Treatment Plans on a quarterly basis with appropriate goal setting
?? Maintain case files including progress notes and other required paperwork/documentation
?? Complete insurance authorization paperwork throughout the course of treatment
?? Provide case consultation and case review with colleagues
?? Communicate with client collateral contacts, i.e. school personnel, health care providers, and family members
?? Report aggregate client data to supervisor for use in reports to funding sources
?? Attend staff meetings
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
?? Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
?? Licensed in the state of Wisconsin as a LCSW, LMFT, or LPC
?? Prefer experience with children and trauma.
?? Experience in working with victims of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse
?? Ability to provide quality individual, couples, group and family therapy
?? Play therapy experience preferred
?? Good written skills and good verbal communication
?? Ability to assume responsibility to assist in building and maintaining defined productivity level for number clients seen per week.
?? Maintain positive working relationships with referral source and community organizations
?? Knowledge of psychotropic medications
?? Strong computer skills

Peaceful Solutions Counseling is an approved site for the National Health Service Corps. This allows qualified employees to earn up to $30,000 for student loan repayment in exchange for 2 years of employment.
