Job Responsibilities

This position provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform the following according to location standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans.

Assists residents by passing snacks and trays, pouring beverages as needed, and maintaining pleasant dining atmosphere.

Maintains residents' self-esteem, privacy and confidentiality of personal information. Provides residents with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with their care plans.

Keeps residents' living areas pleasant and orderly. Measure body functions and documents care provided to residents.

Responds appropriately to resident requests for help and maintains positive relationships with residents' friends and family members. Responds promptly to residents' call lights.

Qualifications

A high school education or higher education is not required to be hired into this job. Continued employment will require completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program or ability to satisfactory complete an accredited training program approved by the center/campus and the state in which the center/campus is located.

Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities.
