Student - Snow Removal, part-time, as needed

Position Information

This is a part-time, non-benefited, as needed position. $16.00/hour. To apply, complete the application and submit.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Is directly accountable and responsible to the Grounds Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for maintaining the general care and upkeep of the campus grounds.

DUTIES:

1. Perform snow removal by operating heavy and light equipment (i.e., Bobcats, front end loaders, sweepers, brooms, shovels, and dump trucks, etc.).
2. Assist with building maintenance in moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
3. Perform other duties as required or assigned.

HAZARDOUS WORKING CONDITION:

1. Work may include exposure to hazards, which could result in physical injury. Extreme temperature in winter or summer and heavy lifting.
2. Must observe established safety practices and procedures in working with chemicals, materials, and equipment.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age.
2. Valid Class D driver's license.
3. Knowledge of outside maintenance tasks such as snow removal, etc.
4. Ability to operate heavy equipment.
5. Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and materials used in general grounds maintenance.
6. Ability to perform semiskilled and skilled maintenance work on grounds equipment.
