Job Overview The HR Generalist will assist the HR Manager in the administration and strategic support of HR processes, procedures, and systems. The HR Generalist will provide as back-up for the HR Manager supporting a 24/7 operation. Job Responsibilities Lead plant entry level and skilled hourly talent acquisition initiatives. Responsible for managing mid-level employee relations issues including but not limited to counseling, coaching, and corrective actions. Manage FMLA information including: forms, approval progress, return to work dates, time card updates, etc. and serve as first point of contact. Responsible for benefit updates including communicating employer response and follow-up, system audits, etc. Coordinate and facilitate a variety of employee meetings and engagement events. Assist with worker's compensation investigations and collecting data. Assist HR Manager with facilitating new hire orientations. Responsible for New Hire Appraisal Monitoring including reviews and points. All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures. All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program. Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years HR experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field. 3 or more years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in hourly talent acquisition processes and strategy. HRIS experience (preferably SAP SuccessFactors, Kronos). Familiar with HR policies and procedures (employment law, FMLA, etc.) Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on management expertise and experience. Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve. Working Conditions ??? Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35??F to 100??F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery. ???
