Associate Manager, Global Project Management, Development Engineering Mechanical - DTV (Finance)As the Associate Manager, Global Project Manager/Development Mechanical Engineer (GPM/ME) you will serve as the overall project leader responsible for delivering Design to Value (DTV) cost savings projects using the End-to-End New Product Development (NPD) process. You will have accountability for ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, meeting all deliverables, success criteria, driving necessary cross-functional actions and decisions as required to meet commitments. This position includes identification of process or principle deviations, initiating trade-off and escalation discussions and leveraging the visual performance management process to communicate project progress to goals.You will ensure the project team delivers the product design and that the product meets consumer, regulatory, and manufacturability requirements. This includes integrating all RD technical efforts to develop the technical plan and deliver robust global product design and specifications. You will own integration with regional execution.You will also contribute to the mechanical engineering activities associated with global new product development. This role will identify and translate consumer needs into the design of products to fill gaps and improve the user experience. You will work under direction of the GPM as well as supervision within specific area receiving operational and strategic direction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead assigned projects using New Product Development E2E process Coordinate the efforts of the larger cross functional team to achieve project objectives Engineer components, assemblies, and/or processes as part of the design of products and the way they are manufactured Qualify components, devices, and systems through lab testing, line trials, and consumer testing Apply root cause analysis to identify component, device, and system issues and recommend needed changes Serve as technical expert for devices and refills, including dispensing systems, materials, electrical elements, closures, manufacturing line requirements, plastic molding techniques, and product/environment compatibility REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 6 years of experience in the development and commercialization of consumer product goods or related industry OR Master's Degree with at least 4 years in the development and commercialization of consumer product goods or related industry. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES Strongly preferred 1 year of electrical device experience Proficiency working with injection molding, blow molding, and plastic component sub assembly strongly preferred Proven track record in successful product launches using new product development processes Self-driven, results-oriented with a clear focus on high quality and timely delivery of objectives Excellent communicator with track record of presenting ideas with courage and conviction Experience with development methods and tools, such as DOEs, to solve technical problems, and deliver claims Experience working with design and manufacturing partners outside the organization Packaging Development experience and skills JOB REQUIREMENTS Full time Up to 10% travel Ability to lift 10 - 40 pounds Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assignedat any time with or without notice as assigned by the Manager.
