Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
- This position provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform the following according to location standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans
- Helps residents with outerwear or shoes as needed.
- Assures residents' needs are met by willing employees (self or others).
- Assists residents by passing snacks and trays, pouring beverages as needed, and maintaining pleasant dining atmosphere.
- Assists residents in maintaining proper and clean appearance.
- Safeguards residents' property.
- Maintains residents' self-esteem, privacy and confidentiality of personal information.
- Provides residents with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with their care plans.
Qualifications
- A high school education or higher education is not required to be hired into this job
- Continued employment will require completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program or ability to satisfactory complete an accredited training program approved by the center/campus and the state in which the center/campus is located
- Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities
