Job Summary
Integrative Medicine brings conventional and complementary approaches to medicine together in a coordinated way. The Integrative Care Educator assists in supporting and providing complementary alternatives in order to deliver a patient focused approach to health and wellness. Incorporates reiki certification practices through yoga, mindfulness, meditation, touch therapy and aromatherapy to ambulatory and hospitalized patients. Assists in educating staff regarding integrative services. Engages in continuous learning alongside developing additional integrative health service practices. Delivers services to patients in both clinics and hospitals in unique departments and locations. Comforts and welcomes patients to all care services and classes, ensuring each patients satisfaction of therapeutic practices. Presents oneself professionally and exhibits patience while teaching and educating both patients and staff. Assists in marketing and tracking results of services. Presenting results and effectiveness when necessary.
Qualifications
Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous work in healthcare setting preferred.
Certification in an integrative specialty required. Includes but not limited to: Register Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200 certification through Yoga Alliance required, Healing Touch Level 5 and/or Master Reiki certification.
Additional certifications helpful, including but not limited to, Professional Mindfulness, Reflexology, End of Life Doula, and/or an accredited meditation certification.
