We're looking for a results-driven person to join our team.


Main Job Functions:

  • Manage, direct and maintain all functions within a terminal. Primary areas of accountability include: productivity, service, safety, CSA performance, driver/dock hiring , driver retention, service level agreements, loading/unloading, transport planning, human resources
  • Implement and track service goals through reviews of operating expenses
  • Support customer relationships when required and ensure that safety, service, and quality measures are implemented and monitored
  • Ensure that a safe working environment is provided for all employees
  • Implement understanding and compliance with all Company policies, procedures and federal and state Department of Transportation rules and regulations
  • Create an atmosphere of leadership and teamwork that values the contributions of all employees in support of a sustainable, safe performance culture
  • Lead and develop internal staff and educate where applicable
  • Leads the terminal by example with a "can do" attitude through people management excellence
  • Closely works with operations on a daily basis
  • Perform other duties as required by management

Requirements:

  • At least 4-6 years experience in transportation management along with a thorough, demonstrated understanding of terminal operations
  • Knowledge of transportation operations and laws, federal safety regulations and maintenance requirements preferred
  • Must possess verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, direct and lead multiple tasks at once
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products is required
  • The ability to work with a team or individually in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of correct material/freight handling - loading techniques
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Materials handling
  • Forklift experience
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds
  • This is a 24/5 operation. Flexible working hours
  • Experience is preferred
