Position Information

Part-Time Plant Pathology Research Intern (Students Only)

We are looking for a part-time research intern to the assist the plant pathologist and research specialist in greenhouse and laboratory studies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Establish a regular schedule with the plant pathologist and communicate well via email
  • Adhere to NDSU policies and employee expectations
  • Grind seed and assist with mycotoxin analysis
  • Preparation for greenhouse studies including washing and bleaching pots
  • Running the autoclave to sterilize greenhouse potting media
  • Watering plants
  • Preparing fungal and bacterial growth media
  • Cleaning glassware and maintaining the cleanliness of the lab and greenhouse
  • Measuring soil parameters including pH
  • Assist in other projects as needed
