Position Information

Grant funded part-time and/or temporary curriculum development/instruction position.Develop technical courses supporting industrial automation and/or manufacturing industries. Responsibilities include development of recommended course outlines, textbooks (if applicable), curriculum development (written content, lecture content, presentations, exercises, etc.), and exam/assessment development.

Required Competencies

  • Master's Degree in Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, Automation Management, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, Electronics, or related field and 3 years' (36 months) non-teaching experience in a related occupation. OR Bachelor's degree in one of these disciplines and 5 years (60 months) non-teaching experience in a related occupation.
  • Must have experience working within the automation and/or manufacturing industry and/or a specific topic area that was in support of the industry; excellent working knowledge in one or more of the following specific course topic areas: management of industrial facilities, ethics in artificial intelligence & robotics, quality assurance & Lean Six Sigma, production, operations & environmental.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive technical and management experience.
  • Curriculum development, teaching or training experience.
  • Project Management Certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
