The HR Generalist will support the Human Resources department for multiple LGC sites in the areas of recruiting, new hire and on-boarding support, HR administration, benefits administration, off-boarding support, immigration management, as well as general support of HR systems and practices. These systems and practices will support an employee-oriented, high performance culture that aligns with the LGC's mission and shared values. The HR Generalist will support the department's imperatives driven by the company's strategy and will play a vital role in nurturing the company's culture. This position will also be instrumental in enhancing overall employee engagement and satisfaction.

Recruitment Support: Coordinates recruitment and employment process across multi-sites. Assists managers with recruitment efforts and employment process and provides the appropriate guidelines, forms, and resources. Reviews position specifications, recommends options for recruitment sources, solicits candidates by posting on relevant job boards, job fairs, etc. Acts as a liaison between recruiting firm, candidates, and hiring manager. Evaluates candidates by reviewing resumes and applications, and conducting phone screens, interviews, and professional reference checks as required. Coordinates all details of interviews including logistics, travel accommodations, and inclusion of appropriate team members.

Works with managers to determine elements of employment and extends written offers and accompanying documents to candidates. Coordinates pre-employment contingencies, including drug testing, physical assessment, etc. Maintains the recruiting database to ensure records for each candidate and search are current and easily accessible/understandable by other team members. Generates recruitment analytics and identifies trends and opportunities to gain efficiencies in the process.

New Hire & On-Boarding Support: Upon hire, this role is responsible for coordinating and conducting new hire orientation. Ensures completion of required paperwork, introduction to appropriate team members and resources, and set up of appropriate personnel records in LGC's people systems. Conduct mini benefits orientation and trains employees on utilization of the employee self-service products.

HR Administration: Champions the company's people systems by maintaining all personnel, talent, benefits, and recruitment information and records. Processes employee changes across all applicable systems including compensation, relocation, qualifying events, etc. Maximizes the utilization of the products and ensures data integrity.

Maintains all Human Resources related records, including separate filings systems for personnel and benefit records, recruiting documentation, I-9 forms, training records, and records related to complaint investigations and employee performance issues.

Ensures confidentiality and limited access according to procedure. Generates reports as needed.

Possesses general knowledge of the company's payroll process and serves as back-up for select LGC locations.

Benefits Administration: Possesses general knowledge of LGC's benefit plan offerings. Assists employees with general benefit questions and supports the annual open enrollment process for mutli-sites.

Off Boarding-Support: Prepares employee separation packages and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons for separation. Executes the required steps to complete separation of employment.

General Support: Provides administrative and project support to HR Manager. Participates in relevant regional and industry compensation and benefit surveys. Responds to unemployment claims in a timely manner to appropriate state; creates and delivers arguments for hearings when necessary.

Schedules and coordinates HR training events and other corporate training programs. Conducts regular audits on the company's HR practices to ensure legal compliance.

Maintains organizational charts and other corporate documents.

Immigration Management: Responsible for processing non-immigrant and immigrant visas, renewals and applications for permanent residence into the U.S., including coordination with outside legal service providers, managers, HR business partners, and employees. Coordinates, initiates, and manages immigration cases with outside legal service providers to ensure compliance, accuracy, optimal processing timeline, and maximum efficiency in all immigration filings. Maintains all visa process/immigration files as well as public access files as it relates to H1-B visa status. Provides guidance on all U.S. Immigration compliance matters including visa process practices. Establishes best practice to ensure legal compliance and communicates to managers as appropriate.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years related HR experience
Basic knowledge of and/or experience in recruitment, payroll, and/or benefit administration desired
PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred

Technology/Equipment Skills:
Significant experience with Microsoft Office Suite
ADP Payroll experience
