Good Samaritan Society - Blackduck offers highly skilled nursing care as well as a welcoming and loving place for residents to call home. Our services include Nursing home care, Rehabilitation therapy, Outpatient therapy and Hospice.
Blackduck is located 25 miles north of Bemidji Minnesota, this little town is considered the hub to the great outdoors of northern Minnesota. Blackduck is next to the northwest edge of the Chippewa National Forest and in Blackduck State Forest. The town is near 600 lakes, 1.5 million acres of public forest land, and hundreds of miles of snowmobile and cross country trails in local and surrounding areas parks/trails. It is considered an outdoorsman's paradise with all of the natural resources there are to offer. If you want to visit the Northwoods of Minnesota but not be too far from civilization, this is the place to be!
This position performs preventive maintenance on facility, equipment and vehicles and makes repairs as necessary on physical plant, landscape and parking lots.
Completes repairs as needed or requested. Keeps various work and storage rooms, garage/shed, tools and supplies organized and clean. Keeps garbage removed from building. Paints, patches or repairs all interior surfaces. Paints and maintains all exterior building surfaces and window frams. Maintains lawn and exteior plantings. Maintains furniture, lighting, flags, and signs. Keeps sidewalks and parking lots well-marked, free of debris, snow and ice. Performs preventive maintenance on facility vehicles. Documents all completed work and tests performed. Observes and reports residents' conditions to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
Vocational technical education in plumbing, HVAC, electrician or carpentry is preferred.
Special Boiler licensure required or facility will assist in obtaining licensure.
