North Country Food Bank, Inc., a nonprofit organization located in EGF, MN, is seeking an outgoing, customer-friendly Program & Volunteer Coordinator.

This position is responsible for assisting with all food distribution programs within our service region, and managing and supporting all volunteer activities, including recruitment, orientation, training, and recognition.

This is a full-time position with benefits. Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collects all relevant data as needed for each program's distribution and reporting.
2. Completes all required reporting forms, and maintains appropriate documentation, including all Food Bank documentation
3. Works cooperatively with the warehouse and office teams to ensure timely and efficient distribution of services and products;
4. Communicates with staff regarding any issues that may arise;
5. Conduct tours for visitors and volunteers upon request.
6. Attend community events, campaigns, fairs and other appropriate events to communicate volunteer opportunities and to provide information about North Country.
7. Coordinate volunteer and site participation in distribution events as necessary.
8. Performs packing, re-packing, and labeling duties, including: CSFP, backpack, produce, mobile, etc.;
9. Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility for the smooth operation of the Food Bank;
10. Assists staff members, when appropriate, with projects;
11. Operates warehouse equipment as necessary;
12. Provides customer service related to all functions;
13. Advises the Operations Director and Executive Director of security gaps, safety issues, problems and other concerns;
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
* Good communication and conflict resolution skills;
* Knowledge of warehouse operations;
* Valid driver's license;
* Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of eight hours, and repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs;
* Must have knowledge of standard office management practices and procedures, including reception, record keeping, prioritization of work and the use of standard office equipment, including computers and related programs, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Access;
* Ability to organize work, set priorities, exercise independent judgment, and balance the needs of various programs and staff;
* Ability to coordinate multiple projects and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Research, compile, prepare and maintain accurate records.
* Ability to understand and work with the diverse dynamics of the non-profit/social service and religious/charitable sectors in northwest Minnesota;
* Must have strong problem solving skills in a team approach;
* Must exhibit a professional demeanor and respect of others' opinions and participation.
