Job Summary

The Medical Information Officer will be responsible for the use of clinical applications to facilitate quality of care across all care delivery venues. The position will lead a team of clinical informaticists that supports quality patient care and other strategic initiatives through clinical application design and optimization as well as clinician end user training and optimization. Responsible for integrating operational and information technology processes within the Health Services Division (HSD). Accountable for the design, development and successful ongoing implementation of these processes to ensure organizational strategic goals and objectives are achieved. Develop and maintain partnerships with IT, clinical operational leaders and leaders of strategic initiatives to coordinate work that supports all clinical workflows. Responsible to assure the IT infrastructure provides necessary support for current clinical and non-clinical end-users while planning ahead for future growth and system requirements. Oversee resources to assure projects are prioritized appropriately based on identified operational, business, regulatory, and clinical needs and is responsible to develop, track, and control annual operating and capital budgets.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) required.
Minimum of three years’ experience in related roles.
Primary specialty board certification required. Clinical Informatics board certification preferred.
