Job Summary

Responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the Good Samaritan Society Prospera locations in Bismarck/Mandan within the long term care industry. Partner with acute care hospital leadership in the Bismarck marketplace to ensure seamless transitions of care delivery. Meets established goals and outcomes, ensuring regulatory and organization compliance. Directs, develops and coordinates financial and operational stability.

Job Responsibilities

Description
  • Leads daily operations, through ensuring effective and efficient utilization of staffing and resources of the facility.
  • Develops strategic plans, including facility assessment, that enhance the resident care experience while keeping staff accountable for set departmental goals. From a high-level, oversees the infection prevention and control activities, safety programs, quality assurance programs and ensures HIPPA compliance.
  • Accomplishes and maintains resident care, safety and education, along with community service goals through the enhancement of needed services and the procurement of cost-efficient methods to provide those services.
  • Advises leadership on strategic responses for state and local environment, including the health care industry. Guides leadership on facility-wide financial planning, budgeting, investment priorities and policy matters.
  • Leads and develops managers and staff in alignment with enterprise mission, vision and values.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of state and local healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of local and regional economics and service needs within the industry.
  • Must possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business applications, legal documents, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations and statues.

Essential Functions
  • Determines, plans, and budgets for long-term learning and developmental needs.
  • Develops and manages large and important budgets.
  • Monitors organizational adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Monitors regulatory compliance of all healthcare practices to ensure no violations.
  • Monitors the marketplace and adjusts business strategies of healthcare services.
  • Provides the right level of detail as input for strategic plan development.
  • Translates vision into specific functional or departmental initiatives.
  • Updates resource requirements by identifying and responding to changing needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years' of administrative management experience required, preferably within a healthcare industry.
  • Experience with the Medicaid/Medicare/Value Based Payment benefit programs required.
