RN Quality Data Abstractor - Temporary

Description

Lakewood Health System is seeking a Temporary/Casual Clinical Quality Data Abstractor.

The Clinical Quality Data Abstractor is accountable for the overall workflow, performance and coordination of abstracting clinical data from the current medical record and accurately entering and collating the data into a computerized electronic medical record (EMR) system or spreadsheet.

Position will have knowledge and expertise of clinical EMR access and documentation, identify patients who are non-compliant with measure and supports training for care coordination, EMR process improvement implementation, quality reviews and verification of accurate data entry.

This is a Temporary/Casual position working 2 days per week.
Qualifications

Current MN RN licensure

Communicate data to various committees and healthcare workers across the organization as assigned.

Ability to learn computer and application skills as applicable to role (MS Word and Excel)

Ability to work within a high functioning team environment

Excellent problem-solving skills

Self-starter with a high level of initiative

Ability to interact with and work around people

Effective communication skills

Ability to make judgments in demanding situations

Ability to react to frequent changes in duties and volume of work

Comply with regulatory and mandatory reporting requirements at the local, state and federal levels.
