Job Responsibilities

Develops a marketing and business development plan to promote home care and additional services (e.g. in-home technologies), incorporating the most effective forms of media and personal contacts for external referral source cultivation. Meets with external and internal referral sources, families, and potential clients to explain Home Care services and how they may benefit their needs. Demonstrates ability to discuss options for client care and assists in determining the best possible outcome. Provides ongoing contact with prospective clients and families as indicated for follow up. Reviews key competitor's service offerings and market position relative to the needs of potential customer and marketplace demands. Ensures a timely response to trends that impact the health care field. Assists in developing and supporting network goals and the Society's strategic direction while adhering to proper stewardship of Society resources. Develops and implements a plan to increase visibility in the community through advertising, marketing and promotional opportunity displays and distribution of literature in the service area, participation in community events, speaking at service clubs and organizations and other related activities. Ensures sales and marketing plan strategically supports growth to achieve sales goals under determined time frames and budgets.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent required. Worked as a social worker, marketing professional or other healthcare professional in long term care or home care setting. Previous experience with home care technology preferred but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Ability to write and make a written marketing plan come to life, desire and ability to meet or exceed goals. Ability and willingness to speak in front of small groups of people; ability and willingness to engage in one to one conversations with prospective clients, family and community members, etc. on a regular basis; ability and willingness to manage multiple projects at the same time. Good computer skills

In depth understanding of Home Care, Skilled Nursing Homes and Health Care in general. To use a variety of communication skills appropriately and effectively. Ability to use and demonstrate and problem solve technology suite products.
