Job Details

We are adding a Digital Producer to our newsroom team to help drive audience growth and engagement through daily content creation and/ or production to digital publishing platforms, including website and social media management.

Responsibilities include:
  • Create and aggregate daily digital content - short stories, video, photos, quizzes.
  • Edit and rewrite content and headlines to appeal to audiences.
  • Share and promote digital content through various social media channels.
  • Assist in management of the local website to ensure a local and up-to-date content experience for readers.
  • Ensure local teams have up-to-date digital platform and tools training; serve as a superuser for the content management system and digital content dashboards.
  • Work with local and regional newsroom teams and the FCC content network on projects and initiatives to grow online audience and loyalty.

To excel in this role, the following qualifications are essential:
  • Excellent communications skills and knowledge of and interest in digital and social media platforms.
  • Video and photo editing knowledge preferred.
  • Strong command of grammar and punctuation.
  • Must be creative, hardworking and a self starter.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record that is insurable by the company.
