Central Services Director

The Central Services Department is composed of two distinct divisions – Management Information Systems  (MIS) and Facilities. The MIS Division provides Cass County Government with the information management  services and technical expertise necessary to manage, integrate, and coordinate information. This includes  storage and security of information; assistance and training for those who need access to the information for  county business; and implementation and maintenance of information systems. Oversee and coordinate all  systems hardware and software planning, procurement, setup and installation, and Technical Support staff. The  Facilities Division is responsible for maintenance, repair and cleaning activities at the Cass County Courthouse  complex and Social Services buildings. Oversees Custodians engaged in cleaning and performing minor repairs  to buildings and maintaining grounds. The Central Services Director is responsible for both divisions.  

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:  
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, GIS, Geography, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Communications,  or any other relevant major or minor field of study resulting in a baccalaureate degree and minimum of 6 years’  experience, or a combination of post-secondary education in the appropriate field and experience at this level  totaling 8-10 years. . Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft OS’s, OS/400, MS-Office applications, Linux,  Security devices (Cisco, Checkpoint, etc.), ESRI products, network OS’s, switching, routing, security, Active  Directory, imaging and archiving systems. Substantial progressively responsible experience in systems design,  analysis, project management, and systems integration. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
