Dear Virginia, we're currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated, self-motivated and detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our CaringEdge Hospice team full-time, day shift, to care for patients in their homes. CaringEdge is the health services division of Edgewood Healthcare, a company that's been serving and caring for seniors since 1993.
As a CNA at CaringEdge, would be a paraprofessional member of an interdisciplinary team that works under the supervision of a registered nurse. Y ou would be responsible helping our patients maintain dignity and quality of life, by developing a communicative environment in which each individual feels comforted, cared for and involved in their own end of life care and decision making .

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Directly involved with caring for patients and promoting comfort on a daily basis by providing assistance with Activates of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, ambulation, etc.)
- Participate in and receive nursing report upon reporting for duty.
- Insure that necessary documentation is completed timely describing the care provided, including patient response and status.
- Promptly & appropriately notify the nurse manager of any change in patient condition, i.e. injury, accident, adverse change or skin condition
- Provide privacy for the patient when performing any care.
- Providing patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements
A successful candidate possesses the following:
- Active CNA license
- Minimum 18 years old.
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Hospice/ Nursing Home/ Assisted Living and/or home health experience strongly preferred.
- Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
- Ability to read & follow written instructions & effective documentation of care given.
