Mortgage Operations Opportunities!

Merchants Bank has the following opportunities for experienced mortgage operations professionals.

Underwriter: This position can work remotely, with occasional travel to Winona, MN. 1-2 years experience underwriting conventional loan products is required. Duties include approving loans and handling other credit related items. Will have extensive contact with all mortgage lenders, mortgage operations staff and correspondent banks. The position requires a well-organized individual with the ability to make sound, independent judgments, and must enjoy dealing with and serving people. This person will work extensively with the secondary market programs, and needs to know Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines, Rural Development, and mortgage insurance guidelines.

Mortgage Closing Supervisor: 1-2 years management or leadership experience preferred. 2-4 years of loan closing and funding experience or related mortgage experience required. This position would be responsible for supervision of the Mortgage Loan Closing team. This includes overseeing the daily operations and preparation of the closing documents and the funding of the loans, managing workflow queues, identifying daily priorities, and daily and weekly pipeline management to move loans through the system. Responsible for ensuring the Closing team provides a superior customer service experience for all customers, lenders, and contacts.
