Our client is seeking a highly motivated engineer to join their Process Development team. The candidate must have the desire to utilize their skills to solve technical/complex problems in a hands-on manner, working in a fast paced environment, and across multiple functions in a global company. Past experience with soldering, wiring, and micro technology is desired but not required.

Position Duties:

  • Assesses process capabilities, prioritizes process improvement opportunities, and innovates and implements process improvements on platform or derivative projects.
  • Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and/or automation.
  • Executes the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems.
  • Prepares and presents technical data and recommendations at technical reviews.
  • Ensures proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements. (e.g., BOMs, Routers, FMEAs, etc.)
  • Writes and reviews validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes.
  • Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests.
  • Provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline
  • 2-5 years of engineering experience within process development or manufacturing
  • MUST BE HANDS ON
  • Medical device industry experience is nice to have but not required
  • Past experience with soldering, wiring, and micro technology is desired but not required
  • Demonstrated use of DFSS tools (DOE, problem solving, statistical analysis).
  • Understanding of DFM, medical device design control / quality systems and product development
