Job Summary

The Imagenetics Education Program Specialist coordinates Imagenetics education programming and research efforts to include clinical education targeted at physicians, nurses and clinic staff as well as patients and more general audiences. Leads efforts to create and maintain educational materials such as flyers, videos, external and internal web content, educational modules and presentations. Coordinates with other subject matter experts in the areas of laboratory, pharmacy, genetic counseling, research and others to ensure that educational materials are accurate and complete. May help coordinate or lead community events and outreach related to Imagenetics education. May help lead research efforts related to education.

Hours are daytime Monday through Friday

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science field required. Master’s degree in nursing or genetic counseling preferred.
At least three years’ clinical experience in a healthcare or education role. Clinical genetics experience preferred.
For nurses: Requires current unencumbered license in the state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certification.
For genetic counselors: Board certification through the American Board of Genetic Counselors (ABGC) or the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) is required upon hire. If a new graduate, documentation of graduation from an accredited program must be provided upon hire; candidates are then given four years from graduating to sit for respective certification.
