Sr. Java Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION Senior Java Developer, full stack with React. More of a slant to UI development, but needs to be comfortable with Rest API's and getting data from other systems. Project is to start a new team and experiment with building new pages to support building awareness of our life insurance products. This person would be the lead developer on the team and would start as the only developer, then we would work on expansion as more is known about the work ahead. This person would work closely with the product owner and business analyst, and would have input on technical strategy, plans, and skills needed for expanding the team. We are looking for someone who likes to experiment, is a self-starter, and has experience with being a team lead but has the coding skills to build pages and collect data from other systems via API's. TECHNICAL SKILLS Must Have * Java * Microsoft SQL Server * React * REST API * Spring Framework Nice To Have * AWS Required Skills: Java SQL Spring React Preferred Skills: AWS Familiarity with Git Fully remote right now. Would prefer someone that can be onsite in January and beyond to be able to work with the team, but wouldn't rule out a fully remote, non-local candidate for the right talent.
