Whatyou will doThe Vice-President of Operations is responsible for developing,implementing and overseeing both strategic advancement and day-to-dayperformance of 10-20 plants within a regional footprint; this leader will guidea total headcount of 3,000-8,000 employees and a total conversion cost of$225-$500M.The incumbent will be responsible for aligningthe people, processes, measurements, standards, and efforts across assignedsites with the primary focus areas of safety, delivery, quality and cost. In addition, they have direct input andresponsibility to support implementation of manufacturing consolidations,materials & logistics, business continuity plans, S, AME, ERP andJCMS for their assigned footprint.The incumbent is also fully accountable forcreating an inclusive and positive organizational culture while developing astrong bench of leader talent and the pipeline below that is prepared to takeon larger assignments is diverse in representation, background/experience andthought.Howyou will do itSenior Executiveresponsible for day-to-dayoperational performance: Quality, Safety, Delivery and Cost and all associatedstandard work.Identify and executethrough the operations teams specific solutions to delivery challenges or customerissues; includes having the implementation plan to remedy existing challengeswith detailed expected outcomes based in current and accurate data Developmentand execution of 5-10 year strategic plans advancing the plants capability/capacityand efficiency through the planning and execution of plant transformation roapmaps.Ensure necessary supportto each plant ensuring One Company, One Process Createsfocused lean regional team for training and execution; through word and actiondevelops an organization that embraces lean and actively improves theoperations through the use of appropriate lean methodologies and tools Ensuresproper capital assessment, request and productive implementation Coordinateswith PBU Operations team to effectively implement manufacturing continuousimprovements Worksclosely with the PBU VP/GM's actively participating in the development ofbusiness unit strategies; reflects those strategies in the Operations strategicplansRaise the performanceand talent level both above the plant and, through active engagement andleaders, at the plant level. Mentors,coaches and trains throughout the operations organization. Raisethe engagement and organizational health within assigned region; creates aninclusive culture through role modeling, setting of expectations and actionplans, monitoring and course correcting Work with internal andexternal management and senior-level contacts to keep abreast of business needsand changes, understands and shares best practice/ new developments in theindustry and operations domain for the purpose of achieving business goals andto support the smooth running of operations within the region. Is an active and visiblecommunity participant; raising the awareness of our sites and their localimpact while also increasing the positive impact the site has on the community. Set same expectation for the leadersreporting into the organization. Develops and maintainseffective escalation management processes;Work closely with the COEand PBU Operations leaders to advance Quality, AME, JCMS, and other keyoperational disciplines.
