Job Responsibilities
This position is responsible to perform the following according to location standards, procedures. Scanning and indexing files. Properly handles phone messages and performs general clerical functions including filing and computer entry; scans, indexes medical information in the medical record. Assists the nursing department with staff scheduling and arranging replacement staff as directed. Assists the nursing department with paperwork and telephone calls associated with medical appointments, admissions, transfers or discharges. Uses appropriate staff to facilitate communication within the nursing department and between departments. Completes special projects as assigned. Safeguards resident's property. Maintains residents' self-esteem, privacy and confidentiality of personal information. Keeps residents' living areas pleasant and orderly. Observes and reports residents' conditions to appropriate staff. Records and maintains records of meetings / transactions. Uses the EMR accurately. This position will also support the Health Information Management Department.
Qualifications
Completion of an office management class may be helpful; familiarity with office machines.
Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities.
Typing, data entry, filing, and telephone skills.
