The Director Product Management is responsible for developing and maintaining the product category strategy, achieving sales budgets, developing suitable sales and marketing strategies for region, managing key customer relationships, and driving key Generac initiatives. S/he will understand end-user needs and pain points and closely monitor developments in the market and among Generac Power Systems, Inc. competitors, and identify opportunities to accelerate growth. The role is in charge of planning controlling, and directing the after-sale support globally.

This role directs their team to identify, assess, attract, and negotiate with potential partners in any segment ( eg residential, commercial, industrial) to attain sustainable growth for aftermarket parts. They are also responsible for defining vision and strategies to improve the customer experience globally by creating measurable standards of excellence.

Strategy
Develop product category strategy to drive revenue and profitability for multiple product lines.
Owner of multi-year strategic plan and execution
Collaborate with and provide guidance to other Product Management Teams and Executive Management to prioritize and align product strategies and roadmaps
Identify and develop strategic market opportunities
Collaborate to determine strategic distribution structure and channels
Develop suitable strategies to expand business with existing customers and attract new ones

Leadership Management
Drive activities to support key launch events or product milestones
Metrix performance of Team utilizing Key Performance Indicators
Develop business plan to support new product development proposals.
Designs and directs the work of the functional area. Selects, coaches and develops the team, setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team.
Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning and development.
Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered and performance is systematically improved.

Sales/Service
Manage supplier relationships for aftermarket products with Global Sourcing.
Create and implement innovative after-sale tools, programs and services that increase revenue and drive customer loyalty.\
Track, analyze and review reports to ensure that cost, schedule and performance is being controlled and managed within established guidelines.
Oversee service documentation to ensure documentation is complete and accurate and meets customer expectations.
Support and actively participate in the Generac Development Process (GDP) to ensure new release support meets customer expectations on day one.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
10 years of progressive experience in marketing, business or engineering
7+ years management experience
Ability to work in an Agile environment
Able to travel up to 30% of the time domestically and internationally

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
Experience leading OEM/dealer distribution
Previous experience using SAP
Demonstrated experience in developing company-wide initiatives and processes
Demonstrated experience in budgeting and strategic planning
