Position Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for working with a designated Talent Manager to understand and fulfill the resource needs of their assigned business area(s). The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting: recruitment, screening, hiring of employees. To be successful in this role, one must be focused on delivering a branded candidate experience; professional, timely, communicative, resourceful. This position mainly focuses on entry to non-exempt professional level positions within designated business areas of responsibility.
Responsibilities
• Partner with designated Talent Manager to better understand resource needs for specific business areas, making recommendations on role type, location and recruiting efforts as necessary
• Review employment applications and job postings to match applicants with job requirements
• Screen, qualify and refer candidates, according to hiring managers preference, making recommendations when appropriate
• Facilitate the interview process (i.e. arranging/conducting interviews, administering pre-employment paperwork, entering background check requests) or administering other testing as required
• Inform job applicants of details such as status of their application, duties and responsibilities of the role, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities
• Coordinate and schedule interviews and travel for candidates with interview teams. Ensure a successful flow of interviews and exceptional candidate experience.
• Extend employment offers and process hiring-related paperwork ensuring that all appropriate contingencies are satisfied prior to on-boarding
• Manage positions on external job boards and posting sites.
• Provide hiring managers guidance in hiring policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations regarding candidate selection, interview process, hiring decision, etc.
• Provide a positive and professional application and hiring experience to job applicants, employment candidates and employees
• Maintain human resource information system records related to events such as hiring, transfers, or promotions, etc.
• Draft or refine job descriptions in partnership with Talent Manager and business leadership
• Provide timely and accurate system reporting, including maintaining real-time candidate disposition status in the ATS (Workday)
• Compile monthly hiring reports for designated business areas
• Maintain current knowledge of all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance
• Attend recruitment functions such as job fairs, career expos, college visits, high school, etc.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Education
• Two Year Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience *Preferred*
Experience
• 1-2 years of staffing/recruiting experience
• Ability to think quickly and creatively, and to thrive under pressure
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments and excel in high volume demanding environment
• Proficiency using a Human Capital Management system (specifically Workday)
• Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage Office365 (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Ability to develop relationships with peers, partners, and leaders
• Demonstrated ability to influence others using tact and professionalism
• Aptitude for data analysis and insight development
• Demonstrated understanding of core HR and Talent Acquisition best practices.
