Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for administering the management and operations of a home health agency.
  • Responsible for all day-to-day operations of the HHA
  • Must be available or assign a pre-designated person to be available during all operating hours
  • Ensure that the HHA employs qualified personnel, including assuring the development of personnel qualifications and polices
  • Ensures staff members are educated on current clinical information, and are trained on clinical practices
  • Demonstrates understanding of responsibility for the overall services provided to clients
  • Assures clients are assessed, plans are made to address nursing care needs and care is provided to meet their needs
  • Assures physicians are notified of client's condition and that requests and orders are properly processed
  • Assures all documentation is completed within appropriate timeframe
  • Monitors agency business operations to ensure financial stability
  • Formulates and works within annual budget; recruits, hires, and staffs at appropriate levels
  • Ensures quality performance and conformance with regulation and laws
  • Participates in quality process
  • Responsible for marketing and sales, including customer satisfaction

Qualifications
  • The administrator must be appointed by the governing body.
  • Must be an active member of a local, mainline Christian Church.
  • License for state of practice is required.
  • Per conditions of participation, an administrator must hold one of the following; a physician's license; a RN license; or hold an undergraduate degree and have experience in health service administration, with at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or a related health care program.
  • Administrators must complete competency modules, educational in-services, or any other educational courses as required by the state in which they operate.
  • Must be at least 18 yrs of age.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of supervisory skills and basic home care skills.
