EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District, a national leader in environmental protection and pollution prevention, seeks an Equipment Operator. Under the direct supervision of an Operations Supervisor or an assigned supervisor, an employee in this classification performs a variety of tasks associated with vehicle and equipment operation.  The work involves operation of all District vehicles and heavy equipment, related preventive maintenance, cleaning duties and related work as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Possess two years of full-time equivalent work experience in the operation of trucks, loaders, plows, dozers, scrapers, backhoes and other motorized equipment and vehicles and possession of a Class “A” Minnesota driver’s license; or a combination of directly related experience and education which totals two years with a Class “A” license.
