Rental Manager – Corporate – Fargo, ND

Butler Machinery is currently hiring a Rental Manager overseeing our small sized (200 hp or less) building construction products. This position is responsible for establishing Butler’s go to market strategy, transforming our approach to this segment of the business, while driving market share and revenue growth for small sized construction rental products. Based out of Fargo, this role will have the opportunity to grow professionally with a 65 – year strong premier equipment dealer.

Responsibilities:

•    Leads and supports the development and execution of Butler Machinery’s BCP rental strategy by exemplifying the Mission and Values of Butler Machinery.

•    Develop, communicate, and launch BMC’s BCP rental commercial and operational strategy.

•    To support execution of the BCP rental strategy, launch corresponding functional processes, by partnering with key internal stakeholders (store managers, service operations, marketing, transportations, etc.)

•    Provide support and resources for BMC regions to generate increasing levels of market share and rental revenue in the rental services industry.

•    Manages equipment fleet and mix to achieve expected level of physical and financial utilization.

•    Oversee BCP fleet health via repair timeliness and machine lifecycle repair cost analysis.

•    Maintains a liaison role with equipment fleet manufacturers.

•    Assists department in developing sales forecasts, territory potential, and market based rental rates.

•    Analyzes rental services customer loyalty data to achieve customer loyalty targets.

•    Supports regional sales team via in-person consultations with high opportunity customers 

•    Champion and supports the dealership’s safety culture. 

•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

•    Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field, or equivalent combination of experience, training/or education required.

•    Experience in rental sales, sales operations and / or logistics, preferably in sales in construction equipment preferred. 

•    Previous experience in rental fleet management preferred.

•    Previous experience in operating equipment preferred.

•    Must have and maintain a driving record (MVR) which meets the company’s standards.

•    Proficiency with Microsoft office applications.

•    Proficiency with CRM applications and related management system applications.

•    Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management.

•    Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and effectively delegate in a fast-paced, detail and deadline-oriented environment.
