Position Information

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at North Dakota State University (NDSU) invites applications for an assistant professsor of practice position in the area of Computer Engineering to start in August 2021.

Minimum Qualifications:
1) Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field
2) Specialization in Computer Engineering or related area
3) Evidence for effective teaching
4) Effective oral and written communication skills
5) Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with/teaching diverse groups, including women and underrepresented minorities

Preferred Qualifications:
1) Undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience
2) Relevant industry experience

The ECE department, housed in the College of Engineering (CoE), currently has 14 faculty, and 475 undergraduate, 17 Master, and 42 Ph.D. students, and is ABET-accredited. The department offers separate undergraduate programs in both Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and research specialization areas in Verification, VLSI, Computer Architecture, Cyber-Physical/Embedded Systems, Microelectronics, Biomedical Engineering, Power/Energy and Power Electronics, Electric Materials/Nanotechnology, Communications/Signal Processing, and Electromagnetics/Optics. The CoE includes the following departments: Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, and Construction Management and Engineering.
