The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, self-starter who moves with a sense of urgency and excels at developing relationships with partners. We are looking for people who are insatiably curious, resourceful and hungry to learn. Candidates must have exceptional writing skills, superb organizational skills and unbending standards for quality, accuracy and integrity. There is a restlessness to our culture that requires ability to thrive in ambiguity. Strong business and financial acumen are a must. Experience in the health care sector is valued, but not essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and execute a comprehensive executive correspondence program
  • Create messaging for a broad range of audiences and stakeholders including internal team members, customers, clients and partner organizations
  • Monitor internal and external communications channels for opportunities for engagement and connection
  • Build and manage a platform for tracking engagement

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience in: Communications, marketing, public relations or business management
  • Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint / Word / Excel) experience
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting, however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to space limitations
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Video and digital communications experience
  • Graphic design experience

  • Proven project management expertise, keen attention to detail, ability to perform in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment
  • Sharp intellect, broad worldview, and a confident executive presence that inspires trust
  • Demonstrated capability to adapt writing tone, voice and style to align with a broad range of executive voices and diverse audiences
  • Collaborative, detail and customer service oriented, have strong teamwork philosophy and ability to lead without necessarily having authority
  • Strong knowledge of the health care industry, policy environment, and internal and external trends that impact the business and our leadership
  • Measure effectiveness of all engagements and drive continuous improvement
