City of Hudson, WI. (Serving 17,635 customers) is seeking to fill a full-time Wastewater Utility Operator position within the Hudson Public Utility Department.

POSITION IN BRIEF:
Performs service tasks in the installation, repair and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and collection system in order to maintain proper standards in quality and quantity. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Lead Wastewater Utility Operator. The operator will assist with performing all duties associated with the operation of a municipal wastewater system, plant maintenance, contractors, engineers, shop work, office work, public relations and will possess a working knowledge of Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS), Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent degree. Prefer but not required at least six months of experience within a utility department supplemented by trade school courses related to plumbing, electrical or mechanical; maintenance experience is highly desirable; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed. A current Wisconsin Municipal General Wastewater Operator Certification is desirable or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. Must possess a valid driver's license and CDL or the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 1 year of hire.

Salary range is $26.46 to $28.22/hour DOQ, plus full benefits.
