Solution Architect - Milwaukee, WI

In the role of Solution Architect working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the North America IT team. The person is responsible for providing architecture consulting support on a portfolio of solution developments and enhancements as well as developing IT strategies for development, deployment, delivery and support, ensuring consistency with enterprise initiatives.

The Responsibilities:

Act as lead architect on key projects, providing architecture consulting support on a portfolio of solution enhancements that may be multi-skilled or platform specific
Lead in the introduction and use of techniques, methodologies and tools to match business requirements, ensuring consistency across all user groups
Maintain holistic understanding of systems and environments, serving as approval for functional and technical specifications which cross applications and/or solutions
Contribute to the development of the enterprise architecture and the service and solution architecture through application of appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces along with recognizing potential areas of improvement
Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration, ensuring correct application of relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices
Designs and proposes the system landscape, system refreshes consistent with project schedule for project development, quality assurance and production environments for each of the system components
Coordinates with third parties to execute technical design and implementation.
Direct and support the implementation of software and hardware upgrades.
Participate in innovation management activities: research, suggest, evaluate, rank, oversee proof-of-concept activities, and transfer knowledge of appropriate new technologies into the broader IT environment.

Qualifications:

You have a Bachelor's degree
You have at least 8 years of experience in architecting, designing and implementing solutions based on SAP and non-SAP technologies supporting Supply Chain processes.
Experienced SAP techno-functional architect in SNC, Gateway Service Builder, Portal, ERP, UI5, cloud deployment.
Ability to lead integration of on-prem and SaaS Solution.
SAP S/4HANA knowledge is preferred.
Understanding of strategic issues with a strong authority on the systems development life-cycle and typical issues associated throughout the process
Practical knowledge of the organisation's IT infrastructure and software development and maintenance methods, tools and techniques
Sound knowledge of change management, configuration management, reliability and safety methods and the use of metrics
Skilled in project risk management
Strong analytical and decision-making skills and enterprise mindset
