Description
Lakewood Health Systems has an opening for a Full-time RN in their Hospital and Emergency Department.
The RN will work in the Medical Surgical Unit and the Emergency Department. Medical/Surgical and Emergency Department experience preferred. Will be scheduled and staffed where the need is.
In the Hospital the RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care in the hospital setting. They will monitor ongoing problems and anticipate potential problems and intervene based on assessment. The RN also implements an individualized plan of care and communicates observations/progress via documentation.
They will offer ideas and suggests for modification or improvement in delivery of patient care, equipment, supplies, departmental practices and assist in the evaluation of new products. Another important part of this RN's responsibilities is to keep charge nurses, physicians, patients and family members informed of changes in the patient's status.
In the Emergency Department the RN functions within the level of knowledge, experience and preparation to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of patient care particularly in emergent events. This RN demonstrates the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, assumes the role of coordinator in emergency situations.
This is a Full-time position working 64-80 hours every two weeks; every third weekend; 8hr/12hr shift combination; rotating shifts primarily evenings and nights.
Qualifications
Current MN RN licensure ED experience Current CPR Certification for ACLS, TNCC is required STABLE and PALS certification is preferred Ability to work in a team environment Excellent customer service skills
