This is a full time, 40 hours a week, 80 hours a pay period position. Shifts are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Scope:

• Provide superior customer service in all interactions with clients, families and staff.
• Provide administrative support and assist with special projects on a frequent basis for Home Care and Hospice.
• Provide day to day triaging and distribution of phone calls.
• Manage and process incoming electronic faxes.
• Serves as a backup to Intake Specialists as needed.

Provide superior customer service in all interactions with clients, families and staff.
• Recognize the importance of customer service and strive each day to provide an exceptional experience for each person they serve. Know that all residents, patients, clients, families, referral sources, volunteers and coworkers are all customers, and work to ensure that every interaction is positive.
• Greets and welcomes visitors and staff to the building.
• Is easily accessible and provides prompt service.
Provide administrative support and assist with special projects on a frequent basis for Home Care and Hospice.
• Perform a variety of administrative duties to support the office staff, as assigned.
• Serve as an information resource.
Provide day to day triaging and distribution of phone calls.
• Answer and transfer all incoming telephone calls in a courteous, professional manner.
• Determines the needs of customers and completes warm handoff to appropriate team members as needed.
• Provides follow up to the customer in the event call cannot be transferred and answered appropriately.
Serves as a backup to Intake Specialists as needed.
• In times of high volume, or when an Intake Specialist is out of the office, perform duties to support the work needed.
Ensures confidentiality of all patient information while performing job duties and tasks.

Education and Experience Required:

• Must complete and pass a state required background study.
• Requires a high school diploma, one year of experience working in an office setting, preferably in healthcare, or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience preferred.
• Exceptional typing skills required and must be fluent in computer knowledge especially in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office (i.e. Publisher, Excel and Power Point). Must also have experience with various office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line phones, postage meter, fax machines, etc.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required and an ability to work with confidential information.
• Often the first contact visitors have when calling or visiting the facility, therefore the use of good judgment, tact, courtesy and patience is required.
• Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
• Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors.
