The Human Resources Director, Total Rewards will be responsible for the design, implementation and execution of Smith Medical ASD's Global compensation and benefits. This position will ensure that our compensation and benefit programs are competitive, sustainable, scalable and have both a short- and long-term positive impact on the organization's ability to execute our strategy. This position will also manage and maintain the HRIS system including our performance management and talent development functions, striving for data excellence for efficient and effective operations in all of the countries where we operate. This role will have a global scope, and partner closely with colleagues across the globe.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure proactive planning and effective execution of compensation, benefit and HRIS systems that support our efforts to attract, motivate and retain top talent, while building a great place to work.
Partner with general and functional management to ensure effective internal employee communication with client groups regarding compensation and benefits on a regular basis.
Demonstrates thought partnership with SVP & CHRO and well as the GLT on the development of total rewards strategies, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and HRIS systems.
Responsible for continuously optimizing G&A costs in terms of organizational compensation and benefits as well as headcount within Total Rewards.
Oversees the design, administration and improvement of base pay, variable incentives, and systems, ensuring data integrity excellence and alignment with market competitive cost structures.
Manages executive compensation and the relationship with the Smiths Medical executive compensation committee, including the administration of the equity programs providing expertise in plan design, competitive trends and global compliance.
Oversees the management of our benefits vendor relationships, benefit contracts, and bid negotiations.
Develops and executes a comprehensive total rewards quarterly communication framework, leads the Annual benefits enrollment, annual merit increase, as well and the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) and the Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP).
Leverages technology and partners with HR colleagues to develop the technical systems, automated and manual business processes, and workflows that support total rewards delivery.
Serves on all M&A due diligence and integration teams as needed ensuring that risks and opportunities are proactively identified to executive leadership.
This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).
Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.

THE INDIVIDUAL
Bachelor's Degree required (HR Masters or MBA with HR specialization highly preferred).
10+ years of progressively responsible HR, total rewards and leadership experience.
Experience in a Company known for strong HR practices and driving continuous improvement through standard work.
Successful track record as an HR specialist managing compensation and benefit programs and strong familiarity with HR generalist responsibilities. Must be effective at establishing, managing and adhering to an annual budget.
Preference for previous HR leadership experience in a global business - including 2+ years working in Mexico.
3-5 years' experience working with global and/or highly matrixed organizations and teams.
Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing change initiatives.
Knowledge of U.S. and International employment law.
Excellent coaching, consulting and facilitation skills.
Excellent oral and written communications; effective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead others.
Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency and process orientation.
Ability to prioritize rapidly; excellent decision making/analysis skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Determines organizational objectives and interprets company policies. Completed work is reviewed, from a relatively long-term perspective, for results.
Collaborative decision making with business leaders and HR executives.
Ensures that overall change management programs, schedules, and performance standards are realistically set and attained.
Education requirements can be obtained through an educational institution or gained through equivalent work experience.
