Qualifications The University of Minnesota, Morris Division of the Humanities may need Lecturers/Assistant Professors or Teaching Specialists to teach on a short-term and/or temporary basis during the academic year in one or more of the following areas: Art History Studio Art English World Languages Music Philosophy Communication, Media, and Rhetoric Theatre Arts Humanities Teaching Methods Required/Preferred QualificationsPh.D. or terminal degree for Lecturers/Assistant Professors; MA/MS or BA/BS for Teaching Specialists, master's preferred. Candidate must have academic preparation appropriate to the specialized teaching field, and must have evidence of successful teaching as demonstrated by letters of recommendation from those knowledgeable about the candidate's teaching expertise and/or summaries of recent course evaluations. Though clear emphasis is on successful teaching, consideration will be given to scholarly attainment or other professional recognition or distinction in the teaching field.
