In a fast paced, high technology world, Mary T still values the face to face connections with people.Mary T Inc strongly believes in their six core values:Cooperative CultureInnovationSocial ActivismIntegrityEnliven the SpiritSustainabilityCome check out our new company website: The position:Camilia Rose Care Center is currently seeking a nurse educator to work at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Coon Rapids, MN.The Nurse Education will provide educational leadership and training to caregivers to enhance patient care and to assist patients and caregivers with educational needs, problem resolution and health management across the continuum of care.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC JOB DUTIESCollaborate with the Administrator and management team to assist in the development of company patient care policies and proceduresEnsure policies and initiatives are efficient, meet patient expectations and are updated to reflect regulatory changesProvide support, supervision, and oversight to Nursing Assistant Students.Identify problems that can affect patient care or safety and recommend immediate changesMonitor and measure performance, identifying training deficiencies and licensing requirementsImplement risk management measures to avoid and/or decrease practices that may bring about violationsEvaluate the effectiveness of available training and assess & implement new/updated training needsUtilize all communication tools to share training opportunities with all staffParticipate in the development of the orientation program for Nursing Assistants and licensed nurses addressing acclimation to the clinical settingDeliver positive and encouraging support while giving specific and honest feedbackConducts and documents formal follow-up meetings with new staff during the first week of employmentImplements and maintains the training databaseBASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITIONEDUCATION:Graduation from an accredited school of nursingCERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:Valid MN Registered Nurse license, in good standingEXPERIENCE:Two years of nurse training experience and a minimum of 2 years of management experience preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Ability to demonstrate and practice the principles of proper body mechanics for all physical activitiesAbility to practice precautions, standards and facility infection control proceduresKnowledge of and ability to use position related equipment properly and safelyBasic computer skills and the ability to become proficient in company software and data base systemsStrong organization and prioritization skillsStrong verbal & written communication skillsAbility to communicate through demonstrationAbility to compile, report and communicate statisticsAbility to build and maintain working relationshipsOTHER REQUIREMENTS: Complete all position related trainingObtain and maintain required licensesMary T, Inc. and Camilia Rose Care Center are Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
