Lead Pharmacist / Clinical Coordinator

Watertown Regional Medical Center, Watertown Wisconsin, is seeking a Lead Pharmacist / Clinical Coordinator. This role is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external Hospital customers and supporting the department by providing a variety of pharmacy services. This position provides the knowledge and skills to meet physician, patient, staff, and/or hospital needs and performs in accordance with hospital standards and policies. The Lead Pharmacist/Clinical Coordinator provides leadership through development and involvement in clinical pharmacy programs and services and hospital quality initiatives. Provides staff direction of technical expertise and assures that standard practices, that govern performance of job activities, are followed. Oversees day-to-day operation of functional area and support the department in scheduling, training, and prioritizing work for others. Acts as a role model and conduit between senior leadership and the work team, as needed. Assists in the development of the drug formulary and provides guidance and clinical information to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Plans, develops, and provides drug information and education to physicians, nursing staff, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other health care professionals. Ensures a safe, accurate, and effective medication use process.

Qualifications
Bachelors of Science Degree (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy.
Current Pharmacist License in the State of Wisconsin as a pharmacist. or ability to obtain by date of hire.
Previous hospital pharmacy experience of at least three years.
Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision, to set priorities, make critical decisions, respond quickly to emergency requests, handle frequent interruptions, and adapt to changes in workload. Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and its impact on clinical practice.
