We are committed to helping patients in our community who are experiencing personal, emotional, marriage, family or psychological problems. Founded in 1991, we offer an intensive outpatient chemical dependency program, psychological testing, and behavioral health and medication management services.We are currently seeking a full-time Patient Financial Service Representative to join our Arden Hills Business Office. This position has the opportunity to work from home once fully trained. In this role, you would field inbound/outbound patient calls regarding their balances, resolve patient inquires over the phone, establish payment plans with patients, and prepare patient refunds. Other duties include:Monitoring payment plan adherenceProcess Bankruptcy notices/dischargesProcess Mail ReturnsProcess Returned ChecksPrepare uncollectible account for 3rd party collectionsInvestigate/Research outstanding Self-Pay A/RField/Resolve provider/clinic inquiries via EmailAttend and participate in biweekly staff meetings and any other meetings and/or training sessions as indicatedAssist Patients with Setting up Electronic PaymentsJob Expectations:Maintain an outbound call volume of 100 unique calls per week to address self pay balances over 45 daysNext day appointments with balances are reviewed dailyReturned checks are processed within 24 hours of receiptReturned mail is processed on a weekly basisBankruptcy notices/discharges are processed within 48 hours of receipt.Patient Accounts are noted appropriately in EEHR and PMArrive and leave on time according to assigned scheduleQualification: Collections and customer service experience; insurance billing follow up experienceMental Health experience strongly preferredAbility to handle high pressure conflict resolutionFamiliarity with insurance company guidelines and HIPAA regulations.Detail oriented, flexible problem solver; maintains a positive attitude.Computer Experience required; Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, OutlookHigh school diploma/GED requiredHours:Monday through Friday 7:45am-4:15pmBenefits:Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. prides itself on the benefits and compensation offered to staff, including:Able to work from home after training is completeMedical, Dental, & Vision insurance with generous employer contributionHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for applicable medical and dependent care expensesPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysFlexible Scheduling options are available!401(K) Retirement Plan with a generous employer matching programSupplemental insurances, such as short/long term disability, cancer insurance, accident insurance, pet insurance, and life insuranceTuition discounts at select Universities
