The Senior Living team is an industry leader in providing financing solutions to not-for-profit continuing care retirement communities or life plan communities as well as for-profit rental communities. We are seeking an analyst to support and be a member of our Senior Living team working in our Minneapolis office. The position is a junior banking role on our senior living team and allows for the opportunity for career growth over time into a more senior position. The qualified candidate will be required to provide analytical and quantitative support as well as other transaction support to assist senior bankers in providing investment banking services to clients in the senior living sector. At Piper Sandler, our team members assume a high level of responsibility and actively participate in all aspects of a transaction. Responsibilities: Developing financial models to structure and optimize transactions Preparing analyses on client capital structure, debt capacity and credit profile Preparing presentations for financing proposals and new business development Interacting with internal and external financing team members in developing, executing and closing of a transaction Drafting responses to request for proposals Qualifications: B.S. or B.A. with major(s) in business, economics, public administration or related fields is preferred Previous experience in public finance or with public agencies is a strong positive Experience of 1 to 3 years working in a related field such as senior living, banking, accounting or governmental/healthcare finance a plus Successful candidates will be highly self-motivated and willing to work long hours when needed Excellent analytical and quantitative skills are a must and good understanding of financial markets is expected Well organized, attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects under pressure Strong verbal and written communication skills Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint and Word Strong communication and professional presence with clients required *LI-KM1
