Position Title Temporary COVID Case Manager Division Academic Affairs Department/Office Student Affairs Position Summary

The Office of Student Affairs at St. Catherine University invites applications for a COVID Case Manager position. The COVID Case Manager will be responsible for managing, remotely, a caseload of students impacted by COVID-19 either because they have tested positive for COVID-19, or have been exposed to COVID-19, have symptoms of COVID-19 (not yet tested), or have a family member directly impacted by COVID. This is a full time, temporary position. Core hours are anticipated to be 30 hours a week, including evenings and weekends and will flex based on student needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Review referrals for COVID-19 through the Student Success form, the University's diagnosis form, and the symptomatic patient list from Health & Wellness.
  • Track all referrals to completion in the COVID tracking document.
  • Maintain a broader case tracker for the University dashboard.
  • Call and contact students to notify them of COVID related expectations.
  • Notify faculty and appropriate University administrators when a student is unable to attend in-person classes/activities.
  • Refer cases to appropriate campus resources for support.
  • Maintain regular check-ins with cases as needed.
  • Assist the Associate Dean in leadership of the daily campus COVID check-in meeting and case management.
  • Maintain knowledge of and stay up to date with recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and the Minnesota Department of Health as it relates to COVID practices on college/university campuses, recommendations for contact tracing, and determining when, and for how long, to direct students to quarantine/isolation.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, in a matter that affirms the worth and preserves the dignity of individuals, families, and communities.
  • Communicate with campus stakeholders regarding sensitive information to inform decision-making around responsiveness and campus safety

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public health or related field
  • Experience in incident or case management
  • Experience in supporting students in challenging situations
