Job Description:ITU AbsorbTech is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join ourMaintenance TeaminNeenah, WI. This individual will work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, and will be responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial laundry machinery. An ideal candidate willbe able to work fromblue prints, electrical schematics, operational manuals, and manufacturer's specifications. In addition to this, the candidate must be able to troubleshoot mechanical devices,and preform general maintenanceoperations. A successful Maintenance Technician is a team player who values safety as much as the company does - which is our #1 priority.Schedule: Monday-Friday; 12:00 pm - 8:30 pmWhat you'll be doing:Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and machinery to diagnose equipment performance problems.Repairing electrical equipment while following safety procedures and guidelinesDisassembling devices to remove defective parts, using material handling equipment, powered industrial trucks, hand tools and power tools.Inspecting potential defective parts to detect wear and failure.Inspecting suspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Adjusting functional equipment and machine parts and controls using hand tools, levels and electronic diagnostic and inspection devices.Generating purchase order for parts and machines with the assistance of Maintenance Manager.Repairing or replacing defective parts.Installing appropriate machine guarding devices and unique functional and structural parts in devices.Testing device performance to assure safe operation of repaired equipment and machinery.Performing all preventative maintenance as defined in work instructions and document in PM software. Lubricate and clean parts.Completing work order to document all work performed.Setting up and operating equipment as needed to perform maintenance and diagnostics.Initiating purchase order for parts and machines.Must have ability to progress through four-tier job classification system to achieve multi-skilled designation.Complying with all federal and state safety regulations to assure work is performed in a safe manner including all required lockout-tag out procedures.Performing all work in a safe manner that meets or exceeds corporate standards on a consistent basis.Work to support core values of environmental stewardship, lean principles and providing Genuine Service Excellence to all.Education and Experience:Associates' Degree (or current enrollment in a technical school) in Facilities Maintenance (or similar) and 1-3 years' related experience in maintenance or mechanical repair is required; or equivalent in related experience.
