Administrative Operations Assistant - Orthopedics (Administrative)Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking an Administrative Operations Assistant to: Process short term disability and workers compensation requests for patients. Provide physicans support with management of calendars and meeting coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Provide customer service to patients, insurance and disability companies, and outside clinics over the phone. Book travel arrangements. Submit physician reimbursements. Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms. Education: Minimum - High School diploma or equivalent Preferred - Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field Work Experience: Minimum - One year of experience in an administrative support role Preferred - Three years of experience in an administrative support function. Previous experience in a health care setting. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent computer skills. Experience with word processing, database and spreadsheet software programs. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, department administrative staff, interdepartmental contacts and the general public. Ability to plan and organize the workflow in a busy office/unit environment and be self-directed and work with minimal supervision. Ability to be flexible in response to changing demands. Ability to handle a high volume of work under pressure. Resourceful in problem solving, initiative and good judgment Physical Requirements: Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met. Work Schedule: This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Hours may vary based upon the operational needs of the department. Work Location: This position primarily works from home. The Administrative Operations Assistant is required to be in the office once a week for a couple of hours as well as for periodic meetings.
