Job Summary

Responsible for managing the Valet Services Department and all related aspects. Responsible for the day-to-day workflow operations of Valet Services. Ensures department staffing and workload are correlated appropriately. Ensures that our customer's vehicles are moved in the safest and most efficient way possible. Acts as a resource for questions, concerns, and issues that staff or customers may have. Professional leadership skills must be demonstrated and effective relationships must be maintained when interacting with the public, as well as all staff. Supervises personnel and responsible for the orientation of new employees to Valet Services. Keeps all personnel files and Valet Services' records maintained and current. Coordinates work schedules for staff. Responsible for the evaluation process, hiring, disciplining, and termination of employees. Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures relating to the functions of valet services. Complies with other job related responsibilities as may be assigned by leadership. Ensures the Valet Services staff greet and assists patients, families, and visitors in a courteous manner, while responding to guests with empathy and positive interpersonal skills. Responsible for the general traffic flow pattern at the valet entrances. Along with the Security Department, maintains the security of the vehicles parked in the designated valet areas. Maintains the security of the key system for the vehicles parked in the valet areas. Candidates must possess the ability to provide effective leadership and inspiration to others to assure system goals are reached. Demonstrates competence in use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.). Responsible for reporting the statistics of number of cars moved and number of cars parked for all valet entrances. Maintains reasonable order for all Sanford entrances where valet services are located. Reinforces positive behavior amongst staff to assure the Valet Services area provides High Touch Customer Service to our customers. Maintains a positive and safe work environment for the staff and develops a team approach to optimize workflow, improve customer satisfaction and reduce errors. The manager will actively participate on service excellence teams and/or committees related to customer service. The manager will serve as a mentor and educator to the department staff, while adhering to the hospital philosophy, goals and standards of care. The manager will work closely with leadership to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accrediting agency standards are met and department budgets are maintained. Able to effectively motivate staff to exert the effort necessary to attain organizational goals. Customer service orientated with a pleasing, enterprising, and outgoing personality. Excellent communication skills and the ability to support all levels of the organization and our customers. Position requires a strong commitment of providing accurate and efficient service with a clear focus. Strong interpersonal communication, negotiations, and critical thinking skills are necessary with the ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment during unusual circumstances and critical or crisis situations. Understand and be a resource for any computer operations of the Valet Services department.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in any field preferred.
At least two years supervisory experience preferred with demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and apply critical thinking skills and problem solving techniques. Driver history must comply with Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability.
Must have a current valid driver’s license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers.
