SAP BASIS Administrator

Position Description

• The SAP BASIS Administrator role will be expected to perform the duties and responsibilities of a SAP Basis Administrator responsible for the technical administration of SAP NetWeaver ABAP and Java systems.
• This includes production and non-production systems within Global TechOps team which is responsible for supporting all SAP projects for Non-Production environments.
• The Basis administrator will perform project related initiatives as needed.
• This role also consists of additional responsibilities to include providing technical expertise and direction to other team members, ensuring appropriate SOPs/checklists are in-place and followed and leading strategic initiatives as requested by SAP Basis team management.

• SAP Basis Administration with SAP implementations including; SAP ERP, APO, SCM, BW, CRM, SRM, GTS, GRC, PI/PO and SNC.
• Responsible for leading and executing all SAP BASIS TechOps projects.
• Ensure all projects meet the timeline and are completed within allocated budget.
• Performing SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) setup and configuring Table Replication from SAP to Non-SAP systems.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical details for SOPs (refresh, migrations, configuration, installs, etc.) and ensure are followed to maintain a viable system
• Provide technical expertise and direction to drive effective operations related to support activities.
• Responsible for maintaining/supporting the global SAP environment including troubleshooting problems, escalating open issues, implementing solutions, and optimize the system for maximum performance
• Able to work independently as well as cooperatively. Participate in regular meetings for SAP Environment Planning including creation, refreshes, back-up, and recovery. Transport Management Strategy.

Basis Qualifications:

• 7+ years of IT experience with a Bachelors Degree

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience administering SAP systems running on IBM AIX / DB2
• Experience administering SAP systems running on RHEL / Oracle
• Experience administering SAP ECC/APO/GTS/BW/CRM/ systems
• Experience administering SAP HANA systems
• Experience with Solution Manager 7.2. Familiarity with Rev-Trac application.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or business-related discipline
• Experience working in the Medical Device Industry or other regulated industry
• Demonstrated capability working with SAP administrative tools including Solution Manager
• SAP system related issue troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
