As a Software Engineer you will work with a team to
achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service
Level Agreements.
Primary
Responsibilities:
- Deliver on UHG
enterprise application portfolio management, rationalization and modernization - Work with architects,
stakeholders to understand business needs - Look for opportunities
for automation of common tasks - Look for opportunities
to leverage modern technologies, help standardize solutions for
developers/engineers - Support existing
application including implementing enhancements, fixes as necessary - Perform all other
related duties as assigned

Required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
Equivalent - Working knowledge of
one to two software programming/scripting languages - 2+ years of systems
analysis, design, development experience - Strong understanding of
Software Development life cycle - Strong understanding of n-tier application architecture
- Display a strong desire
to achieve and attain high levels of both internal and external customer
satisfaction - You will be asked to perform
this role in an office setting or other company location. - Employees are required to
screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app,
Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via
phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group -approved symptom screener
prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work
sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking
orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are
expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be
attained.

- Self-motivated with the
ability to work both independently and in a team environment - Go-getter with a
positive attitude - Good communication,
presentation skills
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree in
Software Engineering preferred - Experience with Docker,
Kubernetes, CI/CD - Development experience
using java, Node.js
